We're a small Italian company with a simple mission: save beautiful vintage illustrations from oblivion and help vintage lovers like us add a touch of personality to their spaces.
How It Started
Il Biacco was born from two passions: vintage illustration and interior design. We spent years searching for the right graphics to decorate our spaces. We were looking for something authentic and original with a story to tell.
We soon realized that there's an enormous amount of artwork of all kinds—beautiful illustrations, forgotten designs, artifacts—at risk of disappearing completely, swept away by the relentless passage of time.
That's how the idea and our project, Il Biacco, was born, with the mission to recover as much material as possible and make it accessible to those who have a space to furnish and won't settle for commercial illustrations.
What We Actually Do
Our work started long before we opened this store. For years, we've been researching, collecting, and preserving vintage illustrations. We dig through archives, old publications, private collections, and forgotten libraries looking for works worth saving.
Every poster in our collection has been carefully selected and represents genuine research and sincere appreciation for the artists who created these works. Our goal is to bring back to the forefront the value of craftsmanship, increasingly overlooked in our era.
